Phantom Blade Zero — missable content & points of no return

Return to the Outpost after the fight and speak to the Petrified Mandate Disciple in the hut beside the Old Archer, then examine the grave at the Holding Cell Bell. Effect: −15% damage taken while not Guard-Broken. Once you enter the Village of Lu the NPC is gone for the run.

Accept it from the Shadow Warden at the bell on top of the valley's Sha-Chi Tower. Take the giant ladder down, defeat the enemy for the Furnace Maintenance Switch, use it on the furnace at the tower's ground-floor bell to obtain the Primal Stone, and hand it back. Stage 2 is at the Meigu Lake tower and stage 3 in the snowed-in Crimson Forest — miss stage 1 and the whole line dies.

Pick it up from Yu'er at the Outpost and gather three herbs: Bloodstop Vine near the Axe Prisoner bell, Resin Leaf near the door opened by the Rusted Dragon Key, and Woundwort near the valley Long Pillar. The Tale fails the moment Jing Ye dies.

Pick it up in Bride Ah Hua's arena and bring it back to Yu'er at the Outpost. Plenty of players kill the boss and never notice the flower. Later, in Pangzhen, you must use it on the old man in Yu'er's house for the line to close.

At Yu'er, choose the wounded in the forest option, then heal all four injured thieves in the Crimson Forest: one in the small cave and one in the large cave near the Outlaw's Trap bell, one below the giant ladder at the Cliff Lodge bell, and one behind the locked Thieves' Camp door (key from the lodge cellar). Return to Yu'er once all four are up.

Talk to the Old Archer on the Outpost rooftop, retrieve the Broken-String Feather Bow from the archer camp, and bring it back. This unlocks the bow, which is how you hook down the bundles hanging above the maps — skipping it quietly costs you collectibles too.

The case file sits in the Blue-Robed Swordsman's hut, one of the houses near the Long Pillar Overlook bell. The Tale has to be finished before Chapter 4, Snake's Reflection, ends.

From the Sha-Chi Tower ground-floor bell, circle to the hole behind the right side of the tower, slide down the plank walkway and follow the left path to the end. She is the early wall everyone complains about — grab-heavy and punishing — but she drops a martial skill and her arena holds the Flesh Lily.

Talk to Lanlan on the bridge near the Thieves' Camp bell. Then head to the Cliff Lodge bell, take the cellar switch, drop to the plank between the two platforms for the secret-room switch, and follow the shaft down to the girl. The second half happens in the Righteous Camp — see region 5.

A three-question quiz; all three must be right to get the accessory. Answers: he stole the landlord's jade belt / butterfly / the blood letter never mentions it, so its whereabouts are unknown.

Start at the statue beside the Lady's Rift bell in Weeping Creek Valley, after meeting the mutated three-faced puppet nearby. Yucong waits across the frozen lake in the Crimson Forest. Equip the Blazing Edge before the fight — otherwise the battle stops at phase 2, you get no extra cutscene and no Chaos Iron Fragment II, which locks you out of the Shadowless Edge.

Rescue Quick Hand Zhang from the cage near the Trail of Cages bell, then meet him at his hideout by the Thieves' Camp bell to start the treasure hunt. Turn in 3 treasures from the Crimson Forest, 3 from the Village of Lu, 4 from Pangzhen, 4 from Meigu Lake and 3 from Mirage Estate. Rescuing him also gives the Quick Hand Pendant (+10% one-handed damage) for free.

Speak to Old Man Gen beside the bell at his hideout. After the gate opens, take his request, head to Pangzhen's Broken Song Pool bell, turn around, burn the branches on the right path, and follow it to his house. Open the door, examine the body, then report back.

Accept from Young Master Lan at his hideout. In Pangzhen, walk the road ahead of the Bagua Pavilion junction to trigger his scene and receive the manor key, rest at any bell, return to clear the enemies, talk again, then enter the manor for the final scene.

It starts while you collect the Firefly Memory Flowers in the Village of Lu and continues across several regions. It is also one of the nine true ending requirements, so skipping the conversation costs you the ending, not just a reward.

Four on the ground, one down the well. Collecting all five feeds Mu Xiaokui's hidden third phase and the related collectible; once the boss is dead you cannot come back for them.

The hidden third phase only exists if the Young Master questline is complete. Do it alongside the ribbons rather than after the main path.

At the Broken Song Pool bell, turn around, burn the branches on the right path, open the house at the end, examine the body inside, then return to Old Man Gen.

Scene at the Bagua Pavilion junction → manor key → rest at a bell → clear the enemies at the original spot → talk → enter the manor for the closing scene.

Accept it when you find the first Long Pillar; the rest are then marked on the map and can be done in any order: Weeping Creek Valley, Crimson Forest, Meigu Lake East, Meigu Lake Illusionist Ruins, Pangzhen. It counts as both a trophy and a true ending requirement.

After defeating Changhong, the Thunder Spear, enter Yu'er's house directly ahead and use the Flesh Lily on the old man to revive him. If Apprentice Healer and A Healer's Mercy were handed in, this is the moment A Healer's Legacy finally lands.

Finish the Illusory Pipa quest first, then go to the Weeping Mistgate bell and clear the mist. The area has several NPCs and Tales plus the Ink Cut Phantom Edge, Flying Guillotine, Juggernaut and Seamless Death — worth a dedicated trip.

During A Hero's Lament, speak with Liu Li and show him Moji's Bloodstained Sword. Using Ink Cut once in Huangxing's fight also unlocks a short extra dialogue.

Meigu Lake dock. You reach the tower from the northern Pangzhen pier, where the mechanism boat waits — do not take the boat. Walk east along the dock and keep climbing to the top, where the Shadow Warden is waiting again.

Accept it automatically at the Dovecote waypoint. When Red, the Mysterious Swordswoman, appears at the top of the tower, do not fight her — take the chain beside her and leave. Spare her and she joins the Chief Disciple's second phase, giving two Memory Flowers and the Twin Fish Pendant afterwards (more damage the lower your Sha-Chi, up to +20%).

In the Righteous Camp's confinement area, defeat Wu Lengshuang of the Soft Sword, then climb the path and interact with the body among the flowers — skip this and the Tale fails outright, the most hidden trap in the game. On the current patch, do not touch the bell after Wu Lengshuang: go straight to the body, then open the drill ground gate.

Once you reach the Road to the Drill Ground waypoint, do not walk through the gate. Find Bi Taotao's body first or the questline ends on the spot.

Accept it automatically after defeating Xiao Xue at the mass grave. The collection steps are scattered, so note which pieces you already have instead of planning to come back.

Combine four fragments; most players leave with two or three. Effect: Destruction Phantom Edges spend 1 extra Dark Source for +75% damage.

Once Mount Soulrend opens, the south-east of the Crimson Forest is snow-covered and the lake freezes over, letting you reach the tower entrance. Climb to the top and hand the last Primal Stone to the Shadow Warden.

Yuzan at the end of the Village of Lu (mandatory), Yubi No.21 at the end of the Righteous Camp, Yuding mid-way through Mirage Estate (mandatory), Yucong across the frozen lake in the Crimson Forest, tied to Triple Threat. All four are needed for the trophy, and Yucong is the one people miss.
